What Happens at Toastmasters?
Each meeting has a scheduled agenda including speaking roles for as many members as possible. When you participate at Toastmasters, you gain confidence more quickly. The program is structured, but there is flexibility from meeting to meeting. If you have a special speaking event coming up that you need to prepare for, Toastmasters is the perfect place to try it out.

You will be asked if you want to Participate in Table Topics
Table Topics is where we practice extemporaneous speaking. Members are given a topic and then they stand up and give a 1-2 minute speech. This skill is very helpful for job interviews and sales or when you are just asked to "Say a few words!" Everyone can do it at every meeting.
You will hear members do prepared speeches
The Pathways program supplies information for each speaking project you do. The steps of learning are gradual and mentors are provided by the club members.
Evaluators provide feedback
All members learn to provide evaluation feedback for speeches and for the meeting roles. We also learn to accept feedback as a way to improve. These skills are very useful in the workplace and in life.
