What Happens at Toastmasters?
Each meeting has a schedulesd agenda including roles for as many memers as possible. When you participate at Toatmasters, you gain confidence more quickly.
You will be greeted into a friendly group of interesting people.
You will be asked if you want to Participate in Table Topics
Table Topics is where we practice extemporaneous speaking. Members are given a topic and then they stand up and give a 1-2 minute speech. This skill is very helpful for job interviews and sales or when you are just asked to "Say a few words!" Everyone can do it at every meeting.
You will hear members do prepared speeches
The Pathways program supplies information for each project you do. The steps of learning are gradual and mentors are provided by the club members.
Evaluators provide feedback
All members learn to provide evaluation feedback for speeches and for the meeting roles. We also learn to accept feedback as a way to improve. These skills are very useful in the workplace and in life.
